Day 18 - The Politics of Failure: What's the Point?

Tonight's blog is a continuation of a series -

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day 18 - The Politics of Failure: What's the Point?

The current disposition of many in the world can be summed up in the statement "What's the point?"

This very statement has very unique and powerful effects that most people have not seen or considered.

This statement, if repeated enough times in a certain way, communicated to enough people, and accepted as a reasonable answer - will allow for the most horrible atrocities in the world to not only exist, but to flourish. It is therefore one of the most powerful propaganda devices ever put into use and it is commonly distributed and has worldwide effectiveness.

How is this possible and what is the REAL Politician (AKA You) to do about it?

"What's the Point" is the statement that justifies the unjustifiable in this world. It is the statement of seeing and realizing that there is something obviously wrong with the way in which our world is functioning, and seeing that it is NOT acceptable for it to continue this way - and yet one will convince themselves that they have no power, and have no ability, and have no way of changing things at all - and so "what's the point" of even trying if one person cannot make a difference?

Those who are able to make the claim "what's the point" obviously have no real consideration for what the actual point is - because in order for a person to see and realize that the world is destructively malfunctioning and billions of lives are at stake of permanent poverty and starvation while a handful of populations exist in luxury with an unending appetite for profit at any cost - and yet still say "what's the point" - indicates that there is a severe problem in the individual's ability to see and consider reality, and that the individual's value system has been completely corrupted to value money instead of life.

There is an assumed idea that most people have that the system is too big to take on and that the elites would never 'allow' for any real change to happen - So what is the point? Might as well live your own life the best you can because 'chances are' nobody else is going to care enough to really stand up and be willing to challenge the status quo - and even if they did, "chances are" they'll just be laughed at or totally cut off from the system. And because you're clever enough to see this, it just makes sense to not get involved with that mess. Right?

When self survival and self-interest overrides the decision to do what is best for all, this becomes a very destructive and CONTAGIOUS disease that affects the entire world system. And as much as we want to convince ourselves that one person does not make a difference this is simply not true and I will demonstrate how -

In accepting the idea of "What's the point" we must also look at what is included in this acceptance. By deciding that it is impossible to make any relevant change on our own and that it would not be worth the risk to put ourselves out there, it seems the "logical" choice would be to instead focus on self-preservation and survival.

So what next? we make "peace" with the system. We continue to work because we need money to survive and keep things stable in our world. We continue to work and labor in places that do not care about us and only desire us for our ability to generate profit and be part of a money making organization that must compete with other money making organizations.

We spend a large portion of our time producing or selling things that are not actually supportive or useful and are primarily made and sold for no reason other than profit. We spend an equal if not greater amount of time consuming things that are produced that we don't actually need, but are trained to want and desire.

We eat food that is malnutritious. We go to schools that miseducate us. We watch media that dumb us down. We buy products that we don't need. We pollute our bodies and the earth with the chemical waste of our products. We destroy habitats and supportive ecosystems and displace or force to extinction dozens of species each day.

In order to keep this all going - more and more debt has to be created in order for more profit to be enjoyed by the elite. More resources are exploited to keep the money system going - to keep products on the production line - to keep advertising agencies in the business of convincing us all to consume our way to oblivion.

It does not occur to us that it costs us multiple times more effort, more energy, more money, more waste, more exploitation of resources, more imposed suffering and austerity, more anxiety and stress and tension and health problems - just to keep things going the way they are - just because we accept the thought of "what's the point?"

And what happens when an individual accepts this and speaks this statement to another? ALL of the injustice, all of the suffering, all of the corruption is suddenly "acceptable", and this message spreads and becomes the social norm - to simply look at the state of the world and know that there must be change - but when it comes to the very moment of making that decision, the "virus" activates and the potential Real Politician instead will say the statement "what's the point?" because he or she once heard it from ANOTHER potential Real Politician who did not take a moment to investigate the statement and the consequences of "What's the Point?"

THE POINT IS - if we are concerned with not wasting time and resource over something that cannot be done, and not wanting to bother with something that isn't going to work out - WHY DO WE CONTINUE LIVING THIS WAY? The actual question should be "what's the point of NOT changing?"

What is the point of continuing to watch the very world diminish before our eyes just because we fear we might not make a difference?

What is the point of having a world system that cheapens everything that has actual value and replaces it with a totally made up and fictional monetary amount that in no way reflects the value of life?

What is the point of giving up our lives, our very living essence - to exist and survive in a system where we have to compete and take from each other by force what we could instead provide and produce together in agreement?

What is the point of being HERE, alive, with the once in an existence opportunity to in fact learn how our system works and for the first time in our human history begin to shape a world system that in fact can support all life equally without conflict, and to be able to restore to BILLIONS of fellow human beings their rightful dignity in this world, and yet still be hung up about our personal fears and anxieties that are humorously miniscule in comparison?

What is the point REALLY?

Again - we see the power of a single statement - and all we had to do was change the starting point.
In the blogs to follow we will have a deeper look at the point of why focusing on self-interest and self-survival actually makes it more difficult to survive in general and how this solution can be changed and solved politically by REAL Politicians who know the real way to use the statement "what's the point"

Day 17 - The Politics of Failure: We can't change the system... can we?

Tonight's blog is a continuation of a series -

Day 16 - Restoring the Name of Politics

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day 17 - The Politics of Failure: We can't change the system... can we?
Can politics be a legitimate way to change the ENTIRE world system?

There is no shortage of revolutionary and visionary ideas that could radically change the way we relate to ourselves and each other as well as the way we co-exist with nature and the ecosystem. There are many groups with powerful and world changing insights and technological innovations that can completely revolutionize the way our current world functions.

And yet not a single one of these groups has been able to actually implement their visionary idea despite having a very active and intelligent following. The popularity of these groups is massive and constantly expanding and there are worldwide chapters that are very active in engaging in conversations, debates, and discussions about the various solutions that our world desperately needs. But even with a very wide network of supporters and activists across the globe, these groups have thus far NOT made significant change within the world system beyond introducing new ideas and information.

One of the main reasons for why there are so many groups in the world today who profess to have "the solution" and genuinely do have great insight and creative innovations of ideas and technologies that can change the way the world currently operates, and yet nothing actually ever changes - is that any change that requires a change in the world system must be done from WITHIN the world system itself backed by the agreement and political support of the majority of this world.

Many of the groups that have come forward in order to change the world have come from seeing that the current system is NOT working, and have taken it upon themselves to research ways and means of solving the myriad issues that humanity currently faces. And while the general mechanisms for how things got this way and what can be done about it are well studied and discussed by such groups, the starting point has been to either destroy or completely stand against the current world system, the monetary system, and the various institutions of control and influence - because these institutions are seen as being part of the "problem" without seeing them as parts within a machine that can and must be changed and re-aligned if we want the current machinery of the world to give us a different result.

This is the trap that far too many potential REAL Politicians of the world fall into - the trap of accepting the notion that the current world system is inherently corrupt and largely to blame for the conditions we are now facing, and that it is too entrenched to be able to change or fight conventionally - and so the only "alternative" left is to seek a means to correct the world WITHOUT engaging in the world systems of politics, government, and finance.

Here, having made the political statement that they will NOT utilize the political system and work within the current institutions of the world to achieve the changes that the world needs because the world system is "the problem", and that governments cannot be trusted and therefore they will not engage with it, or that money itself is corrupted and therefore they will not work with the money system - such groups by virtue of this stance being "against the system" automatically exclude themselves from being able to change anything in any real or lasting way - because they will find that it is much more difficult to secure funding, much more difficult to access positions of influence, much more difficult to implement their goals without having to greatly compromise their principles - because they will now have to fight and contend with a globally established system while having to at the same time compete with many others for resources and funding - and while all of this is happening the world system simply allows such groups to implode or dissipate or end up fighting and debating with other groups while starving them of political or financial support.

So, how can politics be used in such a way that actually changes the world system and will actually allow for the implementation of the many revolutionary and visionary innovations that have been kept out of the hands of the people by those who serve self-interest and profit above doing what is best for all?

We must see and realize that when we accept the idea that the world system is just "too big" and cannot be changed through "politics" because politics and the money system are completely corrupt, we actually make that our REALITY through this very acceptance, which in itself is a political message that influences countless others in the world who are looking for real change and searching for the REAL Politicians of the world to be examples of standing up within the very system that must be changed and redefining it's very nature and function to serve humanity instead of enslave it.

It must be understood that we the majority are the greatest and most powerful oppressors to change, and that our slavery and servitude to the system can only be done through our acceptance. Therefore unless we realize that we are responsible for the world system and the governments and financial systems upon which the world currently functions, it will always remain a mystery to us as to why the world isn't getting any better, and why we see no REAL leadership in the world that is addressing the heart of the issue.

In the blogs to follow we will have a look at what happens when people choose self-interest over what is best for all, and how each one that accepts the idea that we cannot change the world system through politics and democracy actually makes it harder not only for themselves, but for EVERYONE in this world to be able to actually change the way our world functions.

We will discuss in the posts to come how, despite our best efforts to the contrary - and despite our reluctance to accept this fact - we are at all times influencing this world by our words, our thoughts, and our deeds - and that each moment we allow ourselves to give up on self-responsibility and accept the current conditions of the world - is a moment in which we instruct the world system and everyone around us that "I, a co-creator and fellow politician of this world, accept through my silence the current state of affairs and I abdicate my power and will to the status quo to do with as it sees fit in my name", and how that very statement can make all the difference in whether we will truly change this world or remain slaves to each other's lack of responsibility.

Day 14 - The Politics of Protest - Part Ten: You Can't Fight the System - the System is You

Tonight's blog is a continuation of the series "The Politics of Protest"

For full context, check out the previous posts in the series for a full understanding of the concepts

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day 14 - The Politics of Protest - Part Ten: You Can't Fight the System - the System is You

The world in which we live is based on relationships between and amongst all participants, and when such relationships are not based on agreement and mutual understanding and communication, there is conflict and fear and separation, and at the end of it all this is the CORE issue that is NOT understood or shown in any way - because this very issue of the importance and relevance of the relationships between all things in this world has not been part of our education and understanding as the human beings we are today.

It is this very separation that leads us to develop worldviews that only take into consideration what is of value to us, based on what we have learned through conditioning and social programming, using ideas and relationships that we ourselves have created without any actual understanding of the real relationships that exist in this world and how our actions effect the entirety of our reality. All of this is extensively well explained for those willing to learn. The Desteni I Process is strongly encouraged as a means to start correcting our relationship with ourselves, and with the world we are creating.

When there is a problem within a certain region of the world and the people endure conditions that diminish and erode their dignity and human beings, there will obviously be discontent and anger directed toward the world system and those in positions of power and influence who are able to do something about it - and because it is apparent that "they" do NOT address the needs of the people and seem more concerned with holding the world system itself in place, it is easy to justify anger and frustration instead of realizing the very KEY to the issue.

However, the world system is NOT designed to provide for all equally. The world system is NOT designed so that all of the needs of people are able to be addressed. The world system is NOT designed to enable changes to be made WITHOUT affecting the already stressed and volatile tensions of the billions of people on this planet, each wanting to live in dignity and worth.

But instead of devoting our time and resources to providing this very dignity and worth to ourselves and each other, we have a world system that has become a constant and impossible task of managing billions of human beings that ensures that only a shamefully small amount of the global population will have comfort and dignity at the direct expense of the majority who must compete with each other - often times to the death - while a ruling elite manage these conflicts and battles for survival to ensure it does not escalate too quickly or too violently.

It is NOT POSSIBLE for any government or institution in the current system to address the needs of its people without having dominance and superiority over others, or without having to take resources by force and subduing and oppressing other nations and governments who are not able to compete due to resource limitations artificially imposed upon them by a world that constantly sees itself as a divided and untrustworthy place where only the most ruthless and powerful survive.

Therefore - it must be understood that as long as demands are made and threatened with force or violence without consideration of global consequence or understanding how our world is deeply interconnected and interdependent, any change that comes from such inconsiderate force will always result in instability and imbalance within the entire world system - consequences often paid by the MOST vulnerable who must exist in conditions of poverty and suffering because it has been robbed of dignity and equality and cannot defend itself against a world driven by self-preservation at the expense of the weak.

There is however a critically important element here that is NOT to be missed - which is that ALL OF THIS IS REVERSIBLE! Every policy that has been implemented in the attempt to force a state of unity or order in this world has always created a negative effect because the majority of people are not the ones actually making the decisions and are NOT taking the full scope of our interdependence into consideration.

The world system is NOT an enemy - it is a system that can be programmed and changed. It exists the way it does today because we have NOT realized the responsibility of global consideration and therefore the world system  must for the moment exist - so that our individual demands for security and stability in a world of separation and irrational fear does not endanger the delicate interdependent relationships of our reality.

We have, at this moment, the time and the articulation to prepare ourselves and already begin correcting our relationship with ourselves - from which we can learn to co-create and realign our relationships with each other - and dare to stop judgment and fighting against the system so that we can stand as EQUALS to the very system we have created - and PROVE that we can in fact direct ourselves and each other without harm or abuse - and that the current system of crisis and fear management and constant competition can finally be laid to rest, so that a new system -one directed by a majority of REAL Politicians, can be the foundation upon which a new world of dignity for all can emerge and flourish - where war and the various other symptoms of madness resulting from separation will be a memory of who we were, and will never be again.

As I write, already the Journey to Life of REAL Politicians all across the globe is already well underway, and will not stop. For all of us it began with a decision and a commitment, and it is the same with all the would be REAL Politicians of this world to MAKE A DECISION in a single breath, that changes everything for every breath thereafter.

Day 12 - The Politics of Protest - Part Eight: What is 99% plus 1%

“One of the penalties of refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.” - Plato

Tonight's blog is a continuation of the series "The Politics of Protest".

In the blogs to follow I will introduce the "Anatomy of Protest" from the perspectives of both the protestor as well as the governmental or financial institutions, to give a multidimensional view of protest so that we can see how/why protest is NOT an effective means for permanent change - and while there have indeed been relevant changes to social, economic, and political policy - it has only achieved isolated instances of change that have been short lived, or have only yielded relief from a symptom and have not addressed the core issues.

===============================================================
Day 12 - The Politics of Protest - Part Eight: The 99 plus 1 percent

Since Day 5 of this series we have been having a look at the various dimensions of protest and we have been taking a look from the perspective of the protestor as well as the government institutions and the world system in general.

Tonight we will begin to bring it all together - to see what is going on in the bigger picture and how the conflict and struggle between the oppressed majority and the ruling elite is actually a distraction that keeps both parties locked in conflict and separation, to the benefit of the world system itself.

From the beginning of this series I have said that protest and revolution are NOT effective means to generate social, political, or economic change, and here I will clarify this statement even further.

There is a difference between protests and revolutions that happen as an expression of outrage and demanding that things be set right for the people who have been wronged, and a political movement that forces and directs a very specific change having understood the problem, the consequences, and the solution.

There have been cases in our human history where a unified people, under the leadership of those who fully stood within a principle of what is best for all - who clearly saw the consequences and the risks - who understood the nature of the system and the dangers that they faced in standing in opposition to it - and yet were able to make a political stand that could NOT be shaken, would NOT relent, and would NOT back down - and oppressor suddenly found themselves without support from the world system - and had to out of self-preservation abandon and relinquish their control.

HOW do such instances happen? What is it about those situations that are different from the thousands of riots and protests and public demonstrations and outright civil wars that end up either dissipating and collapsing from it's over exertion, or being completely shut down by the authorities and peacekeepers by overwhelming force, or manipulated and redirected by those who's profession is to cause chaos and confusion within people so that their decision making processes are hijacked without their awareness and refocused in ways that ensure no harm comes to the world system?

And is the world system or any of its institutions and governments actually evil or malicious, or are there greater consequences that must be taken into consideration when one stands in a position of leadership in this world? Is it really the world system alone that is oppressing us, or is the current system that is here a reflection of our own inability and refusal to actually care for ourselves and each other, and thus demand that a system be in place to see to such things so long as we are not bothered by the work, the consequences, and all of the abuse that must happen in order for us to continue abdicating our individual responsibility as the rightful and REAL Politicians of this world?

How can two seemingly opposed enemies ever hope to work together in unity? How can it be that the oppressed majority of people who have been made to suffer horrendously under the rule of the current system that has kept billions living below the poverty level and has maintained a constant air of tension ,conflict, war, and FEAR amongst the nations of the world, could EVER see it within themselves to FORGIVE what has been done and all that has transpired, that they would be able to work alongside with the very oppressors who acted as the agents of the world system's control?

Here the task of the REAL Politician becomes clear - we see that politics as we have known it must change to include a new starting point and a new foundational principle - which is that politics is NOT the tool of the privileged to deny privilege to others and nor is it a means through which policies and social agreements be forced upon people for their own good.

REAL Politics is the full understanding and recognition of responsibility of ALL persons - that so long as ONE person is not free and supported to have a dignified life, then NONE of us are actually free and no life here can be said to be dignified when it continues to allow suffering or indignity in any way.

In the posts to follow I will begin to address the point of HOW political movements of the majority acting in unison CAN work and CAN produce real and lasting change, as well as HOW the world system is NOT the enemy and is not malicious by nature, but by acceptance.

So for those who are ready to see and consider "politics" in a way that has not been done before - where the majority of the people DO determine the nature of the governments and the order of the world, and the world system is one of support, of administration, and of unconditional and unflinching stability - stay tuned and walk with us in the Politician's Journey to Life which is the Journey of ALL people, and understand that this Journey involves Psychologists, Economists, Lawyers, Activists, Artists, and persons from ALL walks of life - walk with us and see how lives can be changed when we understand our true responsibility, and what can be done when we stand TOGETHER with that understanding.
